The TD-27KV-S is an affordable mid-level V-Drum kit built around the powerful TD-27 drum module that employs some of the same envelope-pushing technology as the flagship TD-50. The TD-27 features over 700 instruments, 55 preset kits, and 100 total kits. At the heart of this drum module is Roland's Prismatic Sound Modeling engine. The modeling engine allows you to create custom kits for specific performances. You'll have control over shell thickness and overtones, cymbal size and thickness, and virtual mic placement to control ambiance.

Roland's advanced digital trigger pad technology delivers the most organic, natural playing experience available in an electronic kit. The multi-sensing snare and ride cymbal pads sense sticking nuances across the pad surface. Cross-sticking, rim shots, cymbal choking, and bell/bow techniques will be followed seamlessly. The kit also includes three Roland PDX-100 multi-layer mesh-head tom pads, two cymbal pads, Hi-Hat, and Kick pads. You won't find this playability combined with these features in any other kit at this price.

In addition to standard kit customization, you can freely import WAV samples via an SD card, and combine them with the on-board sounds to truly create "your" kit.

This kit was made for live performance, with a stereo mix output and two assignable direct outs giving you flexibility in live situations. There are also additional trigger inputs for pads and cymbals so the kit can grow with you. The TD-27KV-S can also fit into any recording setup easily via an advanced USB interface providing up to 28 channels for multi-track integration with any DAW.
